The way I understood it is they had been making music together before Jeff moved to L.A., but they didn't decide to start a band and make it official until after he got back.

Dave says the record company made up a fake bio so there's some misinformation mixed in here and there.

May be the one I am thinking of is the fake one..... Something about them being in HS and starting the band back then.....

The story I remember the record company spreading was that they met at a party and started the band on the spot.

if i'm not mistaken, jeff joined GLU when he was 17. how could he AND scotty have been in a band prior to GLU? maybe this was in between GLU albums? i dunno

jeff and dave played in bands together in high school, which is where the playing together since high school thing comes from, but it wasn't GLU.
jeff joined Pop's and scotty was the drummer in that band, so that's how we all met scott. when pop's wasn't touring, jeff would take some of the equpment and we'd all mess about with it. jeff and dave wrote a couple of songs with the gear, and that's when GLU started.

i remember going to pop's cool love shows and just being in awe of scotty's drumming. we all were. when he joined God Lives, i was actually pretty nervous to play with him. even though we'd all been friends the whole time, to actually beging playing with him was a trip. the guitar player in that band, mike tyler is phenominal as well. just unbelievable...

thats awesome...i dont think any of us had any idea how glu started... in terms of what bands were what and with who... all the old interviews were like 'were were in bands in high school and jeff toured and yadda yadda yadda".

i still gotta dl the PCL songs i wonder what they sound like.

JEFF TURZO is not on this CD

I just bought this CD thinking Jeff was on it but he's NOT.
The album booklet breaks down the tracks by performers and Jeff Turzo is not located anywhere on the tracks. He is however thanked in the booklet under "special thanks".
So does anyone know for sure if Jeff played on this album or on their other album?
Also "Buzz" which is on this site - does not list Jeff Turzo on the song.
It says Jerry Cohen plays keyboards on the song.

Also to prove my point here is the video for "Buzz" NOT featuring Jeff Turzo:
