I assume you guys have checked out the "On" record "shifting skin" its the solo project of the mighty mighty ken andrews and features Jeff Turzo, and Matt Mahaffey on a few songs.

Yeah whats going on with Ken Andrews????? I was getting into him but I kind of went off track and forgot about him back a few years..... He is the one who did The Year Of the Rabbit right?????

someone burned me 3 cds with ken andrew/on/failutre but i dont knwo whats what. makes me think of the james iha solo stuff.

they said they had enough material for a new year of the rabbit record...who knows when or if it'll ever see the light of day...
he also has a new solo album almost done...it might be another ON record or called something else.

Cool.... I like Year of the Rabbit.... Damn I need to go get it now.... See that ticks me off when they work on music and never release it.... Just like Tapeworm and that Maynard/Chino project that is stored in some vault.....

wait so yeart of the rabbit is the name of the band?
is on the name of a side project and what about failure? i have tracks form all of those and i dont know nothing about this guy except turzo worked with him

ken andrews was the singer and half of Failure. He went on to form Year of the Rabbit, and also released two solo albums under the monicker "ON" and he has done tons and tons of producing, everyone from Pete Yorn to the next Filter record as well as some self songs...notably "placing the blame" (from breakfast with girls)...
Greg Edwards is the other half of Failure who now plays guitar with the incredible band Autolux...
both incredibly talented.
Failure's last album Fantastic Planet is one of the best records ever made.
for me personally, its tied with Pink Floyd's The Wall and Manson's Mechanical Animals for my favorite record ever.

Damn you classify Mecahincal Animals as your favorite record ever????? To me that album is the opposite.... I see that album as Marilyn's destruction as the Anti Christ which is funny since he tried to go back to that..... I mean the record is good but I think if you have a band like Manson and change the format for an album and then go back you basically just #### up..... Anyways I am looking for to the new Filter album which from what I hear is going to be different.... More acoustic than the norm.... I really haven't followed Ken Andrews that much but I know some of his music and its good.... I need to start getting that collection going......
