Get The Moon And Antarctica. I assure you, it blows Good News away!

Definitely get 'Rubber Factory' by The Black Keys if you're going to get one of theirs

Prick's Self Titled album is awesome. You can usually find it used for really cheap. I personally think its amazing. The songs tell a story of a relationship from beginning to end. I love it.

Silent Alarm by Bloc Party is another really good album. I love all the songs on there, and they are really good musicians.

Singles Going Steady by The Buzzcocks is really good too. They are late 70's Brit Punk, but trust me, you probably wouldn't know listening to it, and I bet you've heard some of their stuff and never realized it.

East Side Militia by Chemlab is an electronic rock / industrial album that is really good.

Welcome To The Monkey House by The Dandy Warhols is a good album. You might recognize the song "We Used To Be Friends".

Fire by Electric Six. They are kind of goofy but I love their stuff. You can check out some of their videos on their site (Danger High Voltage is a great song) http://www.electricsix.com

Echoes by The Rapture is a great album. Very sloppy garage sounding on some of it but its amazing.

Theres a few to look for that I think are really good. I can make more suggestions if you like those!

Silent Alarm is a great album. It's just one of those knock you down "whoa" kind of albums.

When/If you get The Moon and Antarctica, sit back when you have time and just listen to the entire album. Listen to the music and really listen to the lyrics. The lyrics are genious. Seriously. I would never say sit there and completely devote your time to an entire album like that about any other band (yes, even GLU, OK, maybe Empty), but something is really really different about this album that I can't even explain. I can't even stress how amazing the album is. It may seem slightly bizarre to you at first, but trust me, after you listen to it it will rarely leave your CD Player. Lonesome Crowded West and Building Nothing Out Of Something are really good albums by them as well. TMAA is one of my top 3 albums of all times, thats for sure.

Its rare that an album impresses me first time I listen to it, but this Silent Alarm blew me away right away. If you haven't heard it yet, go to their site and download the free song "The Answer". I love that song. I can't wait to hear more stuff from them.

Since that album came out there I've heard one called "Two More Years" that's so good I was pissed to learn it wasn't on the album.
