Get The Moon And Antarctica. I assure you, it blows Good News away!silvercrank wrote:i just got this cd its not bad at all. in fact, i hope to purchase the other ones in the hopes that the quality of the songs + sound will exceed this onelord of days wrote:Good news was a great album. Definitely get 'Rubber Factory' by The Black Keys if you're going to get one of theirssilvercrank wrote:i will next time i go cd shopoing..any other cds you recommend other than that one and the black keys?
When/If you get The Moon and Antarctica, sit back when you have time and just listen to the entire album. Listen to the music and really listen to the lyrics. The lyrics are genious. Seriously. I would never say sit there and completely devote your time to an entire album like that about any other band (yes, even GLU, OK, maybe Empty), but something is really really different about this album that I can't even explain. I can't even stress how amazing the album is. It may seem slightly bizarre to you at first, but trust me, after you listen to it it will rarely leave your CD Player. Lonesome Crowded West and Building Nothing Out Of Something are really good albums by them as well. TMAA is one of my top 3 albums of all times, thats for sure.silvercrank wrote:i will next time i go cd shopoing..any other cds you recommend other than that one and the black keys?
Its rare that an album impresses me first time I listen to it, but this Silent Alarm blew me away right away. If you haven't heard it yet, go to their site and download the free song "The Answer". I love that song. I can't wait to hear more stuff from them.gthesob wrote:Silent Alarm is a great album. It's just one of those knock you down "whoa" kind of albums.
Never heard that one. I'll have to try and find it.gthesob wrote:Since that album came out there I've heard one called "Two More Years" that's so good I was pissed to learn it wasn't on the album.
Let us know what you think when you listen (good and bad)silvercrank wrote:holy cow! thanks guys!! i really appreciate your input!!!
