Does it have a tremelo (also known as a 'whammy bar')?

I HATE floating bridges with a passion. Too much hassle :)

Ohhhhh!

Yeah, it has a tremolo arm.

But its the kind you can just pull out and put back in anytime you want...

Thats a floating bridge.... And yeah they suck.... Too much maintenance.... Its like having a turbo in your car and every 2-3 weeks you have to go to the mechanic to get the timing right.... Same thing.... I learned my lesson with mine.... My guitar fell while I was playing and the whole thing just went off.... I had to get that fixed....

This is the guitar i got for free... I found pics on ebay so i borrowed em.. heh but yeah, mine is red and white, exactly like this one. Except the bottom pickup isnt white like the top one, it is a black box and says EMG on it... whatever that is? hahaha <--- n00b!

skimming over the reviews, people say it's excellent for metal and punk... harder stuff. Not so good for blues and jazz. Reviewers that know what theyre doing and upgrade it a little bit seem to really like it. Maybe i should look into fixing it up a little?

I saw some people saying it's a piece of crap and breaks if you slam it against a wall or something  wtf? What guitar doesn't break if you slam it against the wall?

I think this guitar will be just fine for me to learn on, and it was freeee thank god.

That type of bridge is good.... Thats a whammy but its not a floating bridge so thats a good thing..... YOu can drop that one without #### up the bridge settings.... FYI don't drop it..... I used that as an example.....
