never had 'em. But the word chitlins' is awesome. I tell you what.

I guess I'll have to make due with all the DR stuff sitting on my iPod. as much as I like my iPod though, having the actual cd in my hands feels so much better, I guess I'm just gonna have to wait to get that feeling again.

it's the artwork, the liner notes, and knowing you gave 20 bucks to the artist that makes it real. i know. i hate copying cds.

Not to mention it sounds better.

So does it really look like they're scrapping it or what?

I'm not mad or disappointed, honestly. I'm happy Dave was able to grasp what it meant to actually be alive, than feel "non-human" as he had mentioned a few times in his posts.(by posts, I mean blogs on his myspace) I love the fact that he was able to find love atleast for a little while, if not just to get that feeling again, after all the tragedy he had been through, and while I'm just running on this tangent, I'm happy he was able to practically finish this cd, I believe Ruffnation should honor this man by releasing this cd, not just sitting on it until the rights have run out. But I guess that's not how the industry works. I'll tell you right now I know nothing about the record industry. But it would be nice if we were able to hold this cd, dave's last "opus" in our hands, the people who loved him not just for what he was, but for what he was able to create, which when it comes right down to it, is who you are, it's how you're defined, I think it's a travesty that something like this can happen.

I have to go to work. dammit.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that this is what's happening, but with what's been said and my speculations, *especially* with previous "efforts" made by other labels, I just felt a pang of emotion on the subject, and needed to write. I have no idea as to what's happening with this record, I'm just hoping it's not anything like what I or anyone else has mentioned in this particular thread. I really have the highest hopes, and I'm sure things are going smoothly, it's just not knowing that sucks the most. WE ALL know how that feels. Anyways, I need to get back to work here.
take care.

Whenever one person says something is almost done and another says that everything is halted, that's usually not a good sign.

hilary, the information you got from me is not FROM me, you know that. I was relaying info from a certain credible source.
