Oh, man.

My apologies, guys.

I think I checked the forum a long time ago, intended to ftp the tracks, and then never did for whatever reason. There *were* some problems, as it turns out. The laptop the show was recorded on basically "cut out" every so often, and a few of the songs got utterly butchered as a result (this is regardless of whether or not I might have butchered them in the performances theselves). I can put them up "warts and all" but it might be annoying to listen to.

The first three songs were mostly good, though-- so I'll at least put those up.

All-righty. I've started the upload. You can find it in the audio/covers/greg_aubry_tribule_10-17-2006 directory. I intentionally decided not to name the files with the song listing, since it might be more fun to NOT know what's coming up. I will, however, mention that the first track is an introduction to David and a short telling of his story that is NOT very reverent when the hecklers in the crowd start up, so you might want to skip it if you're sensitive to gallows humor.

Other thoughts: Track 2 is a little painful for me to listen to, if only because shortly after that performance, I heard one of the lines in the chorus correctly, and sing it with the wrong lyric here. There's also a bit of difficulty playing that rhythm and singing in a different rhythm around it. It's one of the first times I ever played that song, and it shows.

Some of the other tracks are subtly different from David's versions-- a few lead lines get replaced with chords and that sort of thing. It's pretty far from note-for-note perfect, but fun regardless.

Sorry this took so long.

nice work on the gig man. I dunno how long you have been playing or doing live shows so don't take any offense but man I could feel the tension in that room! Remeinds me of my first live gig..acoustic solo stuff is the hardest..no band, no support..just you and a mic and a guitfiddle. you did a pretty good job though for a heckling group, an out of tune guitar and a malfunctioning laptop A+ for effort
