its up the artist that did both those songs, we dont have room for 1 person to submit 2 tracks anymore so we are leaving it up to him to chose which one goes on between the 2.

my band, Transpose, has confirmed and reserved "Miss You More Than Anything" for the Tribute cd... we record next month :-)

there will be 2 surprises in our song, heh
one is a 'guest appearance' from someone in GLU!!!! and the other will be the ending lyrics/vocals.

cant wait to hear it

PS since there is an intro is there going to be something like an "outro"?

I was actually approached by Randy to submit an outro, not with my band Transpose, but as a "solo" submission under a different name... with everything else I got going on right now personally: the book, my band going in to record our debut album, my first baby on the way, and starting a new job next month... I just couldnt devote the time to a true "outro".

...i mean....i'd be glad to do it, but i mean..i already got one song AND the intro - lol y'all are bound to be gettin sick of me by now. i deffinately think an outro is a great idea, but i just can't imagine y'all would want ME to do it.

but i mean w/e, i'm not runnin' things here lol

Randy and I have picked someone to write the "outro" to the cd. My friend Mike, who was the main editor of the book, who was also friends with David, is going to submit an outro. I sent him the "intro" that we have as inspiration and without copying it, he is going to make it a "sister track" to the intro so it makes sense.. almost like the intro/outro tracks of Life In The So Called Space Age.

Mike is recruiting a producer and a few other musicians to record it with him and he is using the "band" name 1016 for the outro track...

and why that is so unique other than the fact that it is David's deathdate, the release date of the book, the release date of the Tribute cd, but that is also Mike's birthday... ya, creepy

there should only be
one artist one song
not
artist covering
many songs
thats not fair
to the others
that may want to hop on
this ish
now
im thinking
i wanna
cover
cant come down
rearrange
or
still
or
alone again
not sure

up for the tribute
maybe choir boy
i wanna do a song
with the just straight up
instruments
drums
guitar
bass
i dont think im
up for the programming
maybe someone here
can help me on that
but i have several options
for free studio time
so

#1 rule (and this has been posted multiple times) - no one gets to cover 2 songs, we dont have the room for it.

And of all the songs you just listed, the only one still available to cover is Choir Boy.

[please if im missing any EVEN IF THERE NOT ON THE CD please tell me]

i think a good idea COULD be include a key code or something in the book or an extra paper and enter it into a site and can download bonus tracks that cant be put on a cd... kinda like other artists have done...

also i want to make a poster/mini poster on the back of the book...and i need help with ideas... i planed on doing a folding booklet, because there are to many songs to wright out the lyrics to, that would take me years lol

also if you want you/your band to have a myspace/web link better tell me soon so i can include it in the book

[ps please do NOT quote the whole post just the part you want to reply to]
