I have been working with Randy for a full year trying to help him get it done on his end... these are not pointless posts. I was simply trying to figure out where we stand with the completion of the CD.

If you think its too cumbersome to finish yourself, then I will make arrangements and get the artwork done myself... no big deal, all you had to do was speak up instead of making it sound like you were yelling at me.

Right now im back to where i was, all i have left to do is reapply the text and tweek it.
I just wanted to know the SET IN STONE list to compare it with what i have.
No more excuses for why its taking so long, its a group effort.

I got the finalized track listing for the Tribute last night from Randy... Luke, wait until I send it to you, its slightly different than the one I just posted in the thread. I should be able to send it to you tonight or tomorrow. Also, this is a part of the e-mail I got from Randy about the Tribute as a whole:

"Once this is done I should have atleast 50 cds done by mid Nov.... I have updated news soon... "

wait...

there "should be 50 cd's done by mid november"?

is this going on cd-rs?

most manufacturers usually give you a definite number and date...

i thought we were going to be making this #### official?

please tell me this isn't going to be ultra low-budget cd-rs in #### slim cases with hand cut inserts.
i thought disc manufacturing was factored into all of this random money floating around for the past couple years.

Randy tells me that there is a small indie label in NJ that he got to "release" it. Other than that, I honestly cant tell you how "low budget" it is going to look or be. Randy said that he can only do them in runs of 50...? I also dont really know what that means.

All I do know is the first 50 are going to people who purchased the Mantis Package. Some of those people have paid for the CD last October and are still waiting.

Yes we are running the cd's in 50 for now... Due to budgets and so forth....

I have to apologize to the whole board for the lengthy delay... Lots has been happening in my personal, professional, and musician life... In the last year and a half its been a real bad rollercoaster with things going great to sh*t hitting the fan... But I have to say that things happen for a reason... Due to all of this it was really hard trying to schedule time with the my friend Jim (MotoMachine) who was willing to master it for free... He has done alot of great work and it was excited working with him.... However, the tribute has taken a different direction and now will be going thru an indie label who is willing to help me out with the cd... Its a small label from PA called Toxic Shock Records and they have some great bands signed to them... So I think it was the best to get the tribute out and to answer the low budget quality question, no it won't be cd-r's in a cheap plastic sleeve... lol I always wanted to get them printed and in a jewel case and it seems like this will still be happening... Because of that I need to run small numbers since I need to get the ones paid for out and then use some to re-supply funds to print more... My friend who runs the indie label knows all the specs of how this project is going and knows that in reality there is not much money in distributing it so don't think he is just doing it to get a quick buck... He also knows that most of the money is going to DR's nephew... He is for the music and knows that its more for the respect and dedication to David Reilly and the GLU fans... I will have more official news soon as to the actual date but next week I am scheduling to be mastering the tracks...
