Hi everyone,
My name is Brett and i was the last drummer for FLUZEE before the breakup about 11 months ago.
I have always been a fan of GLU since pretty much the beginning and i am very proud to have played with Dave, Adam, and Missy. We played three shows together and i was looking forward to recording some new tracks we were working on when all of a sudden things fell apart and to this day i am unclear why.
I think Dave was getting tired and needed a break, he told me that someday he would make a solo album and he wanted me to play drums on some tracks and tour but unfortunately i haven't heard from him.
I ran into Adam a month ago in Philly and he said he's doing very well playing Drums again in two different bands and he said he has no idea where Dave is either. So i leave tonight saying that i hope Dave is OK out there somewhere because in the short time i knew him we got along well and i miss him. Thanks for listening. I'll be checking the board to see what's new.
By the way, Everyone had better but UOTF it is GLU's best album yet Dammit!!!!

I have one question how many songs did you play live? Was the set list basically the 7 EP? You probably couldn't play 'December 7th' live right?
Did Fluzee ever cover any GLU songs?
I can't wait to buy UOTF! I have the actual CD single for 'FAME' and it sounds way better then the murky mp3 I got off of
www.enjoyglu.com. So the real release of UOTF will have better sound quality.
Does Jeff Turzo and David Reilly have anything to do with the release? Will they see any profits from it? Do they even know that it's being released?

Hi again,
To answer your questions Tommy 66909 we basically played the 7EP minus December 7th plus we did one GLU song which was "Miss you more than anything" which is one of the best songs on UOTF and i loved playing that one and "Blaming the truth" the most.
Dave and Jeff know about the release of UOTF and they have received an up front amount for it also. So thankfully GLU is still paying off for them because i think they deserve alot more than they're credited for.
See ya,
Brett

Did David Reilly say why GLU broke up? Did he have any animosity toward Jeff Turzo? Was David Reilly on drugs the last time you saw him? I heard a rumor that the guitarist from Fluzee wanted to kill David Reilly over some chick. Do you know what that was all about? Was it all B.S.? Was Adam Kary every pissed at David Reilly? I also heard Adam Kary has his own carpentary business.
That's great to hear some info regarding our favorite band, also it's fantastic to hear from someone who was in Fluzee!
Do you think Fluzee-7 EP will ever be properly released? Were there any deals or talk in the works while you were a member?
Who is Fluzee and what do thye have to do with GLU...

i've been a fan of God Lives Underwater since the first moment i heard "All Wrong". I still think empty is one of the best albums EVER but i do have a lot of questions to ask, and if anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated!
1)Who is (in) Fluzee (yes i know they were a band) and what do they have to do with GLU?
2) What's the deal with "GLU breaking up/getting back together"? i didnt even know they broke up?!?!
3) are they still 'under contract' with 1500 records? or is it null due to the bankruptcy?
4) what label with Up off the Floor be released on, and will GLU have a website back up and running?!
5) what happened to enjoyglu.com?
gracias,
~hilary

1. GLU broke up in 2001 and David Reilly and Adam Kary from GLU formed Fluzee and released an EP dedicated to David Reilly's fiance who had passed away. Jeff Turzo went on to form 'Wired All Wrong' with other members of GLU (Scott Garrett, now with The Cult).
2. Yes, GLU in fact broke up in 2001. They aren't getting back together as far as I know. I also heard that they never broke up so who really knows. But I do know that Jeff Turzo is working as a producer in LA.
3. 1500 records is dead. GLU's 4th cd couldn't be released until now due to it being still property of a defunct label-go figure?
4. UP OFF The FLOOR will be released by Megaforce records April 2004. Megaforce is planning on making a website for GLU, it should be up shortly.
5.
www.enjoyglu.com just disappeared no one really knows why.

Sorry, but i cannot answer the questions you are asking me about Dave and Adam. That is their buisness and it is not my place to speak for them. As far as the Fluzee EP, to the best of my knowledge it is not being picked up by any label. See ya, Brett.
