God Lives Underwater Forum

OK, I posted this on another forum, and I thought it was pretty interesting, so let's hear your answers. This should liven things up a bit.



Ok, heres the premise. You are on a deserted island for the rest of your life. You have to make the following choices of what you want with you:

* 1 person (anyone who is currently alive)

* 2 types of drinks (ex: coke and beer, water and gatorade, etc.., You will have these 2 drinks in unlimited quantities, so make sure you like them!)

* 3 types of food (ex: nacho cheese doritos, McD's cheeseburgers, Arby's reuben, etc.., You will have these 3 foods in unlimited quantities, so make sure you like them! If you say "Steak dinner with steak fries" that is two items, not one. Same with a McD's #1 combo. They are not counted as one.)

* 4 movies (ex: Office Space, Star Wars Episode 1, etc.., and yes, you will have a tv/dvd player to watch them on as many times as you want).

* 5 albums (no mix cds. and yes, you will have a CD player with you to listen to them on)


This should be interesting to hear what people say.

Food: Louie Burger, Steak, cherry pie
Movies: Clockwork Orange, Big Lebowski, Spaceballs, Clerks
Albums: Empty by God Lives Underwater, Inside by David Reilly, Silent Alarm by Bloc Party, The Moon & Antarctica by Modest Mouse, Rubber Factory by The Black Keys

For me thats easy....

1. My wife
2. Water and Apple juice
3. Shrimp Tacos and Pizza
4. The Crow The Breakfast Club The Matrix and A Bug's Life
5. How Humans Rx - DR LITSCSA - GLU The Fragile - NIN (does that count as 2 or 1???) So Tonight That I Might See - Mazzy Star and in case The Fragile counts as 1 album and not 2 Swing On - DLG (My wife likes them and they aren't bad at all)

I wanted to put How Humans R(x), but since its unreleased I didn't.

And yes, The Fragile is one album, not two, despite having left and right

What is DLG? So many abbreviations out there that I lose track. GLU, QOTSA, NIN, SOAD, DMB, TBK, etc.., and so on.

Dark Latin Groove..... Its a mix of different styles.... Its not bad... I really am not into the whole spanish music but they are pretty good.... They broke up though....

I can answer that somewhat quickly. My answer is that I can't answer that. Modest Mouse to me is like God Lives Underwater. I love everything they have ever done, and collect everything they do/have done. I have EVERY album. EVERY album (not all the singles though). I have literally probably like 10gigs of Modest Mouse stuff (live/bootleg/etc..,).

The only other band that I have stuff like that is The Black Keys, and they don't have alot of stuff out/around, so I don't have alot, but I have everything I could find.

Maybe we need a thread of what everyones favorite groups/artists/etc.., are. There might be one on here already that I haven't seen or forgot about.
