Damn... i was in the emergency room last night because my girlfriend has her last wisdom tooth descending, and its wearing into the side of her cheek and causing a sore... it's KILLING her. She's 33 weeks pregnant so she can't take much but tylenol 3 for the pain.
I'm sitting here reading my Music Theory book that i bought so i could learn to read regular sheet music...
That #### is #### HARD.
As i delve deeper and deeper into the chapters, i feel my once solid grip on sanity slowly slipping away.
I suck ASS at math... really bad. And i feel like i have to be good at math to be able to fully understand this.
####.
I see why so many musicians can only read TAB.
Still gonna finish the book though, and read it several times. Whether i fully learn it or not.
Dammit.
Stupid math.

I did in junior high. I used to play trombone. But that was in bass clef and many years ago.

i can do music theory. i did it for 4 years, doing workbooks while studying viola, then in 10th grade i took a music theory class... yet im still only at intermediate level...i always found music throry interesting, cuz i suck at math, but great at theory...its like a backdoor route to being good at math for me, lol...everything in music theory is like counting not fractions or square roots lol... except for the time signature (tap tap tap tap) hahahaha....oh how i miss the good old days..

Ok well... i've been reading my music theory book and practicing guitar in what little free time i have, i bought the E-MU 0404 card and it should arrive today, i bought a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 monitors and all the necessary cables, and now i need an external mixer and a midi controller... any suggestions?
For the mixer i have been told to get a Behringer 1204(not fx) or a yamaha... as long as it has alt 3-4 bus (think i got that right haha)
As for a midi controller, i want something 49 key like the e-mu x-board, but i'm not totally positive...
anyone have suggestions?
