I thought it was just going to be with the book. Or maybe that's just one way.

right now the cd will be available 4 ways only:
-as an add on to the book at a reduced price
-sold seperately through myself and Randy
-through the individual bands (at their shows, through their websites etc) we will touch on this in greater detail later
-yes, the cd will be on iTunes for download

let's say the disc does much better than we anticipate. we cover the financial #### of getting it made, and still have more cash left. are we splitting that?

no, unfortunately the only way that ANY of us are getting paid for being on the cd (and that includes myself AND randy) is if you sell the cds yourself through your band's shows or website etc and pocket the royalty.
In other words, lets say we charge $5 per disc (this is hypothetical), you could buy 50 cds from us (which would be $125) and then sell them at $7 a peice however, wherever you want and pocket that extra $2 a disc you sell. The reason for this is because ALL money made after the "overhead" of putting out the disc is going to a savings bond fund for Billy's college. This was one of the stipulations from Gretchen to even give permission for this project to move forward.. (yes, believe it or not there IS some legal tape that Randy and I had to work through to get this "official")

"overhead"=itunes?
no, overhead = all the money we will put into buying blank cds, jewel cases, paper to print the insert, and shipping to consumers.

ok, the clearest I can make this:
ALL money made on the sales of the cd or tracks on iTunes goes to either the production of more cds OR Billy's fund... (this excludes money made privately by the bands)
