here is the rough draft layout sent to me today that I had to approve:

no offense, but the website and the album artwork is some of the corniest looking art i've ever seen. who's designing this stuff?!
I understand the effort being put into getting this thing out, don't get me wrong, but geez. Hopefully it will sound better than it looks...

actually all that artwork was discussed with David before he died. its just being "finished".... and the webiste is designed by David's sister Gretchen, who is the full power of attorney to his estate.

I wish I had some of the artwork for the Keep Dreaming single that David showed me. As I recall, this work is keeping in with the highly saturated colors....but it's more "busy" than the seemingly simple stuff design ideas he was working with.

But hey, I've got no say in the process so I don't care either way.

ACTUALLY, this is flat-out not true. Whoever is doing the art now isn't who was deemed 'project artist'. I know this for a fact. But it is Gretchen's call and her decision/work should be respected of course.

I have to go on what I'm told... I'm sure there are "other sides" to the same story and I'm sorry if Jeff's artwork is not up to everyone's standard... the artwork part of the CD is not my call, that is between Gretchen and Jeff... I am only the "approver" of the actual SONGS on the cd.

actually it was on david's myspace before it crashed, and there's a copy of that on the FTP... so other sides don't really come into account there. but yaknow.. regardless of anything it's definitely Gretchen's call of course.

Gretchen has launched David's myspace again (she saved it right after he died)

this i know as well.. not sure what it has to do with this though?
