whoa. i just noticed this post. anyway, yeah, what the hell happened to jonathan bates? i mean glassblower and adoip, along with his unreleased stuff was amazing/inspiring ####. then he goes all orange county, standard indie rock. i mean none of the new #### holds a candle to the earlier stuff. it's like he relinquished writing control and decided to take an easier, band-writing approach. LAME. unless the leak proves otherwise, this will be the first record i havent bought from him since glassblower (that's 9 years). i saw #### going downhill with box... so....

any thoughts on the new album? I like it. I do agree that the older stuff rocked. there weren't many songs on Box that I already didn't have / heard in some form. Angry Bear is all new stuff.
