and over the past few years, it seems that there have been hints here and there about a number of unreleased GLU tracks.

the short list:

the rejected/unfinished LITSCSA tracks (10+)

an entire L.P. of Heavy. (apparently Gary Richards is responsible for spilling the beans on that.)

a rumoured set of UotF demos that was accidentally posted online for a day, the MYMtA demo is on the FTP.

also, I noticed that Corporate Punishment, at one time, was planning a GLU tribute alongside ours, but apparently nothing came of it. I wonder if anyone submitted tracks to it...

of everything you posted, this is the only thing that I actually own... I never heard of an entire full length HEAVY album, but how awesome would that have been????

I remember talking to Jeff Turzo about Heavy about 5 years ago and he said that they were recording the HEAVY stuff at night after they were done with recording EMPTY during the day. And that the band name HEAVY was actually tongue in cheek because the purpose behind the side project was to be LIGHTER than GLU... those jokesters

Soooo, might he have confirmed that this was more than a couple of tracks??? Because that would be phenomenal.

I dont remember... it doesnt sound familiar. But that doesnt mean anything. I do know that on the 2 Heavy tracks we DO have, David played the drums and sang and Jeff played guitar and bass and they shared the "keyboard" work. I remember that from our conversation, but I cant remember if the topic of more than the 2 songs was discussed.

I always thought that the later david guitar sounded like a different style than the Heavy guitar. Hmmm, that makes sense.

Too bad Jeff T doesn't frequent the board, maybe he could fill us in on some of these mysteries.

Yeah, it'd be nice to get it from the source. It seems he has no intentions of revisiting those days.

especially considering this year is the 15 year anniversary of the e.p. & empty, he, or american, should celebrate it.
