i wrote to the president of the company and here is his response:
Hey man.. The problem with the backorder on the David Reilly CD’s is actually that they were out of stock, we set it in the store as out of stock, and it for some reason it continued taking orders.
We are debating how to fix this, whether to order another pressing, or to give refunds. (We also no longer have the original artwork and the pressing plant we used went out of business, which has also caused a bit of a delay.) I apologize for the inconvenience, and I’ll let you know ASAP the status.
Also, for some reason there a people making a HUGE deal of it on GLU message boards etc, like we’re ripping off HUNDREDS of people, when literally, there’s maybe 5 or 6 outstanding, unfulfilled orders for INSIDE cd’s. While we don’t want ANYONE to be dissatisfied with ANYTHING, (and we have sent out over 1000 with no problems whatsoever.), the whole thing is definitely blown a bit out of proportion, which is really unfortunate.
I THINK we will be reissuing and remanufacturing it, so all orders should be fulfilled relatively soon. If not, we will issue refunds, and maybe offer free access to a digital download version.
