For vocals I use the nano verb, for guitars I've used a guitar/keyboard sythesizer on my roland. I have a digitech for my guitars. I have a roland digital 8 tracks with 1000 different effects. Can't think of the exact name numbers though.

Since I don't really play live most all my gear is based around a PC.
Line 6 Pod Pro and Bass Pod
various guitars and a mexican jazz bass
Access Virus b - access synths are awesome

Most beat chopping and assembling done in Acid
Various software synths/samplers
Emagic Logic as main sequencer

What are some of you guys favorite pieces of gear? I would say mine in the access synth. It has very huge and versatile sounds.

For recordings I use N-Track on my computer.... Which is hooked up to my roland 36 channel mixer..... I use a guitar I bought for $95 bucks which looks like a gibson epiphone..... I bought that and installed two seymour duncans pick ups change the tuners with a acoustic guitar tuners which my friend had..... Now it sounds like a gibson.... Its a no namer.... I use a Old school Peavey festiva head with a Peavey 5150 cabinet..... Marshall distortion pedal with a boss chorus.... For bass I have a cheap Fender bass.... Nothing too spectacular...... I have a boss drum beat machine for my beats.... Yeah I am your low budget struggling musician.... And on occasion I use the Music Generator from PS2...... I am not high class like the rest of you.... Congrats to you guys with real equipment....

My stuff really needs upgraded. This is what I have:

Yamaha Pacifica Electric 6 string
Fender 12 string acoustic (the action is HORRIBLE!)
Peavy 4-12 cabinet (which at this point I have blown it up so it is maybe a 3-12 cabinet or less!)
Crate G600 amp head (needs replaced. has the selective volume problem, where you only get sound in selected volume knob positions, not to mention all the other problems with it)
Korg AX10G pedal
DOD Stereo flanger pedal
Crate XT65R 65w practice amp
Fruity Loops 5 (learning to use it)
Adobe Audition (learning to use it. I'm used to the old method of recording, but I know once I learn this, it will far surpass the old method).

Not to mention my harddrive on my desktop just crashed so I have to use my work laptop for now. So no practice time on FL5 or Adobe until then. If anyone has any advice on either of those programs please fill me in.

Are you talking about the scratchy noise problem when you turn the know on your amp? There is some stuff for cleaning the knob. Like a can of air with the little straw but made for potentiometer.

Adobe Audition, I never used that. Any good?

I get scracthy sounds and sound cutout. The amp is just in really bad shape. For some reason I kill amps, and I don't know why. I'm sure the pot is trashed. I couldn't even tell you how many amps I have been through in the 15 years I've been playing. I even had one catch fire (Peavy).

Adobe Audition is a really really nice program. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but all I heard was really good stuff about it before I got it. Seems like it has alot of features too. Unfortunately, like I said, I can't even look at it because my computer died (thank God for backup drives so I didn't lose any actual programs or anything). I also need to get audio inputs for my computer so I can do actual recording. All I have been doing is mixing MP3s that I import into it for now. After I move (this week) I plan on getting the input hardware and really getting to work on it. I need to get my song done for the tribute (and moving is putting a damper on that).

I think I need to get that cleaner for my bass amp..... I have this weird noise sometimes but I think its more of a bad ground......

Damn it.

I was going to ask if anyone knew how to get the my Peavy 4-12 cabinet apart so I could replace speakers, but I can't post pics of it because I can't install my camera onto my work laptop (damn admin block). I see no damn screws on this thing anywhere.

Nope.

Its a mystery to me. It has a mesh panel front with metal trim around it. You pull on it and its locked into place. Its insane.

Built very similar to this except two speakers in the top row, two in the bottom http://www.barrysmobiledjservice.net/peavy6.jpg That picture just represents how the front looks/is built. The rear is solid too. The only screws on this thing are the corner guards.
