Polar?

Post by LordOfDays »

I found out this chick i have been working on is bipolar.

i have seen on the news that they kill there children and what not. Should i be concerned?

She was bouncing off the wall today. And she keep touching me. Like an infant/retard. Like poking my cheek? Does she have something else? I have strong morals, is THIS wrong?

And if i ignore her and her "friends" will she come after me and kill me?

Psychology is a pseudo science. There is nothing clear cut about diagnosis labels like "bi-polar". Everyone is neurotic because there is no such thing as normal. If this person is giving you signs that she is unpredictable or violent go with your feelings.

manioc depression/bipolar disorder:

i have experience with this. my exboyfriend was bipolar. its definetly one of those things that puts an ultimate strain on a relationship whether it be friendship or otherwise. the chemical imbalances causes emotional cycling, they will be super-hyper *happy or egotistical etc* (known as manic) and then either in 3 months, or 3 days, crash, like off a high, and be super depressed and want to end their life...mine tried to kill himself, the poor darling...

and if the medication is too intense causes them to feel "numb". there is alot of factors involved, and the ppl may be really really nice and wonderful, but the observer has to understand that bipolar disorder totally infiltrates their approach to the world and may affect your perspective on the person, its one of those things that you need to 'see through'. and lots of love and patience. the disorder really #### with their head/emotions, and a lot of times they arent that stable (in semi-extreme to extreme cases).
a 26 yr old friend of mine has it but she doesnt have it that bad,but her brother has it and she has to watch over him even though he's like 24 years old.

side effects: they are prone to doing things in excess OR extremes (in my experience, coke, alcohol, pot, sex sex sex). aka hypersexuality, no every bipolar person has this, but my ex did and he wanted to "do it" like constantly [6 times a day + when he was in the "manic" stages of it] but when he was depressed, he was extremely withdrawn and hated life, felt isolated and alone, and just you saw the sadness in his eyes... his particular "rhythm" of cycling was about every 6-8 months. right before when i first met him he had tried to commit suicide, but i didnt know that till later, his friends were delicate with him- in a way, protective.

then about 2-3 months later (and his medication was dosed wrong) he just was aloof and acted very very crazy, like oddd, not even like dork-odd, just almost inhuman and had this weird look in his eye, but they figured the meds were wrong, dosed it right, and he acted anmd felt like a normal person, its so strange how chemicals in your body can actually alter you. anyway, 3 months after that he tried to slit his throat and wrists with one of those illeal-weapon-knives, the ones you press the button and they flick out super fast. his mom went into his room and found em..

they tried not to tell me i think cuz they were afraid id like freak out, whihc i sorta did, but then i realized it wasnt done in a rational state of mine. he got better in the subsequential days and weeks after TALKING yes TALKING stuff out and so its definetly an adventure and something you need to commit to, if you really cxaare about the human, no matter what they do, you cant get spiteful and nasty, i mean you could, but they arent stable, and you dont want to push them in a downward spiral.

anyway i sent him this link a while ago, and its really informative:
http://bipolar.about.com/cs/a.htm?terms ... r+disorder

about my ex, this is just one of the extreme cases, they get violent if theire medication is insane... NEVER LET THEM TAKE PAXIL. paxil make normal pele (studies have shown) give ppl thoughts of killing everyone, thats why when friends of mine had mild depression everyone was liek DONT TAKE THAT ####!!!!

wellburtrin is an antipsychotic, and its ok but if its dosed too high, results in that numb, robotic feeling... (so i heard from him and others).

OKAY WELL TO YOUR POINTS:
dont ignore her like she doesnt exist, act all normal. cuz obviously she's not feeling alright rite now, just be cool. don't be an ass just cuz it makes you uncomfortable, i mean if she goes too far say something, but be mellow and normal. you dont knowwhat else is up in her life, but at the same time like i said dont be a doormat either.

bipolars got issues, and unless your willing to invest a lot of love and time and energy into someone, you need to really really weigh out if the person you are thinking about is someone that you want to intertwine your life with. and if you get to know her and you change your mind, dont drop them like a rock, you will do irreparable damage... all the bipolar ppl i know are very sensitive people who take to heart what people do to them.

if you want to talk more, my email is comatose1983@yahoo.com (rearrangeglu @ yahoo msgr) ~h

you're welcome.
i know what you mean. im still really scarred from the experience, emotionally that is... i tend to be detached and not delve into relationship because of irrational fears instigated by the relationship with this kid. *sigh* man i got issues from this... gaaaahhh!!

Sad as it is though I'm creeping up on 30 here so soon I'll be lucky to be able to do it once in a day without breaking my hip

I'll actually be 29 March 2nd, so in just over a year. Close enough for me!

I'm usually in pretty good shape, although when I go on work trips and they pay for the food I usually pig out and end up with a few extra pounds. Mon Tue and Wed I was in Columbus eating Bob Evans every morning and at steak houses in the evening (not to mention big lunches too!). Thurs I had meetings at work all day so we had catered breakfast and lunch. Today we had a drug rep. come in and feed us, and tonight I'm going to a work Christmas party at Bennigans. I haven't paid a dime for food all week pretty much, and I've ate way too much!
