i used to be a jehovahs witness then i was disfellowshipped... they believe that when you die you die till god brings you back for judgement. The ghosts and spirits and what not that people have in their homes are actually demons. supposedly they dwell in old homes and buildings and being ancient spirit creatures, have practically unlimited knoweledge of the goings on in our lives so sometimes they put on these little shows to confuse us and make us think the dead dwell in our homes... lead us into spiritism and occult practices, and therefore, away from jehovah...
I'm not quite sure where I stand now. I don't believe that biblegod is a very pleasant being, considering the atrocities he is written to have committed... Plus i cant believe that one set of books written by random people can completely explain spiritual truth. I dont think it's something that can be taught. it has to be experienced personally... Christians fail to recognize inconsistencies in the bible... like the book of acts changeing written perspective in mid chapter and constant mishmash style of writing. the fact that the author of 1st and 2nd corinthians was the gnostic paul. the gnostic christians being one of the earliest forms of christianity who also believed that the jehovah of the old testament was a god of evil and that the only salvation was though gnosis, spiritual truth, knoweledge. And that the stories of christ were allegorical myths meant to teach initiates how to become more like christ, and to "die to ones self"... the rest of the supposed books authored by paul were forged by the church to tie into the rest of the "literal" teachings of christ. when oif you notice in corinthians paul never once mentions christ as an actual historical figure...
Also I see christianity as any other war time or politically based publication... propaganda... spiritual propaganda... jehovah states he is a jealous god, jealous of what? if he is so ultimately powerful, why does he have to be jealous? we can't have other gods before him? wait... there's other gods? gods that make you jealous? wow, if there's othere beings out there that make you look pathetic, i want to follow those!
Sorry for the random rant.... I'm not saying these things as concrete fact, but i cannot deny that there's something more than just us. i can't believe that existence is inevitable and necessary. there has to be a reason... i'm not a random slim pool that grew legs and eventually learned how to drive a car...
anyhoo, back to ghosts....
i dont know what the #### they are now... perhaps it could be a mish mash of both, us and them. some are good, some are ok, then yet others are violent and not very nice. who knows....
anyone else have any opinions or something?

yes, i have a wikd opinion. you have not gotten the whole stroy. yes, in essence, the bible is true. but, due to the amount of fact that has been ommitted to protect (or keep in line) this flock of sheep we call human society, the amount of truth is minimal, at best. christ did walk, and he did perform miracles. it's no big #### deal though. we could all do the very same things, if we could accept one thing : Anything is Possible if you believe. So, for the human race to "believe" they can't do theses things, they won't be able to. my fiance and i practice telepathy. at first it was kind of hard. took a lot of concentrating. but now, it's like reading a book. Because we believe we can do it, and we can. I even read somewhere, that if we could get over the idea of death, we wouldn't die. I don't know about all that, but maybe. I can't get over death. i want to appreciate it for what it is. I kind of like it. No matter how rough things get, oh we'll die eventually. anyways, the human mind is so much more powerful than you have been taught. When they told you " you can do anything if you put your mind to it", man, were they right.
that's a lil' rant.

I've been a big believer in paranormal things since the old house I lived in colorado. I'll have to get into the stories a little later when I'm not at work. Alot of spooky things happened there though. I was also wondering...
where your Signature is from Asa? I recognize it, but I can't put my finger on it.

That's it. Dusk til' Dawn. Geoge Clooney's one saving grace in life. Well...that and Roseanne. >.>
So yeah onto my stories.
I lived in this house, in Denver CO for a good 4 years with my family. The day we moved stuff into the house most everyone felt the weird "vibes" throughout the day, my family, largely christian prayed over it that first day. (I exclude myself from the christian bracket because i like to keep my options open...that's a different story)
I still never felt very comfortable in that house. There were several occurrences where Rocks would be thrown at my window in the middle of the night, I'd look out the window without turning the lights on, just to see if I could see any little mischief makers, as my bedroom window faced 1 backyard with two others on either side. I never saw anything and hearing these noises became "normal"
I had an OBE in that house. I remember laying on my bed, sleeping, when I hear one of the usual rocks. (they weren't really like rocks though maybe more like pebbles, just something loud enough to wake me. just to clarify) Anyways, I hear the loud clicking sound of the window, I wake up...and I go to check out the window. All I could move was my head though, I told my arms and legs to move but they just laid there. All of a sudden, there was a flash, and I'm looking at myself struggling to get up, my head animated while my body laid there dormant. I floated up there for roughly a minute. Then slowly lowered back down into myself.
I would always get the feeling that someone was behind me.
I remember staying up late to watch spaceghost coast to coast, I'd sit on the floor in front of the couch, on one of those pillows with the little arms, it was comfortable as hell. So I'd sit there, back against the couch, and I'd get the feeling that my little brother was sleeping behind me, so I'd look back there to check on him, and I'd be staring at nothing. This happened alot as well. Mostly just on that couch though, not really anywhere else in the house.
I saw my first apparition downstairs, in the basement, where my drums were.
Picture a large rectangle, like most basements are. on one end my drums sit. the other there's a storage rack made out of wood against the wall, in front of the rack a good 4 to 5 feet was the water heater, 1 foot and a half from that was this support column. I remember being downstairs and playing drums one night, Just listening to my music, and beating away at the skins, focused on nothing but the music, when out of the corner of my eye, I see something run by I look up really quick and see this child running from the corner of the room, behind the water heater, I see it between the heater and the column. I pull my head phones off and I'm thinking my little brothers snuck downstairs, So I call to them, I hear no giggling or laughing, so I look around and the basement is empty. I go upstairs to ask my mom if the boys had been downstairs, and she said no and that they were taking their naps in her room. The hair on the back of my neck stood straight up right there.
I didn't tell anyone in the house for the longest time, and I had this paranoia about talking about it in the house, like I was going to give "the haunt" that was "there" the satisfaction of scaring me. So I didn't speak of it, and when I finally did, I had to be out of the house before I could mention.
I also had bought the 25 anniversary VHS tape of the exorcist, Which I attempted to watch, during the daytime, I didn't make it through the behind the scenes, which played, before the actual movie, when the house started creaking like the foundation was settling, it did it for a full five minutes, I turn the tape off a little creeped out by this idea, and head outside for some fresh air, telling myself it's probably windy outside which would cause the foundation to do that, I get outside, it's a clear blue, calm sky out, no wind whatsoever.
The final thing I'll talk about is the kicker. This one helped me draw my conclusion.
One night, after I had gone out partying with my friends, I get home, they dropped me off, I said goodbye, freaked out, because I'm still a little drunk, and I really didn't want my parent to know I was under the influence, I decide it to be in my best interest to sit in the backyard, and sober up a bit. So I open my gate, and head into the backyard. I lay in the grass, and stare at the stars, the leaves had just started to fall, the moon was close to full. I'm just staring when I hear some crackling. I look to the backright of the backyard, where I see FOOTSTEPS in the leaves. they are coming from this Big bush in the corner. I watch as a new bunch of leaves is crumpled under the non-existent foot. I stood straight up and I ran the hell out of the backyard, convinced I was sober enough to enter the house.
Later, after we moved out, I found my mother and older of the two younger sisters (if that makes sense) had things happen to them. My father on the other had never felt anything, But he had found a makeshift "altar" (Which he quickly knocked over and broke) behind those bushes where the foot steps had come from. I was the only one to ever find out about the altar, He told me after I mentioned the footsteps to him.)
I'm convinced that there was atleast one spirit (ghost, the little child) and 1 inhuman entity living in that house, possibly conjured by the previous occupants at that altar in the backyard.
So that's my story. Take it how you want, I'm a firm believer in paranormal things since living in that house.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
