Mass Hystereo

Post by tommy66909 »

Has anyone heard Mass Hystereo? If so what do you think of it?
Has anyone here heard any tracks from David Reilly's solo stuff 'Robot Teen America' or 'Wired All Wrong' Jeff Turzo's other side project?

I have an autographed copy of Robot Teen America album titled 'Living in Syn' (4 tracks). I remember David had a list of the tools he used on his web site to make the songs. He used tools like Fruity Loops, Orion, Acid, Crusher-X, X-Incarn, etc... It's kind of "dark" electronic music, no vocals or guitars.

I also have a CD copy of the Mass Hystereo tracks. No vocals or guitars on these songs either. But the beats and synth grooves are wicked. The lack of vocals really makes the tracks pretty boring after a few listens though.

As for Wired All Wrong I never heard anything from that project. Would sure like to though. 8)

Wow I never knew 'Robot Teen America' was ever available to buy!
Where did you get it from?
Is it still available?
Was it a real release or was it a CD-R?
Was the artwork cool?

David was selling them through his AOL website at that time. He had planned to release something every other month or so but that didn't seem to pan out. This was before the fluzee days.
Is it still available?
I don't think so. Check your PMs here shortly. I'll give you some mp3s of it to check out.
Was it a real release or was it a CD-R?
It was just a CDR.
Was the artwork cool?
Nothing too fancy. It had a bubble jet printed insert on plain white paper. Autographed on one side. Here's a scan of it. Not very good with the autograph bleeding through the light paper.

RE: Mass Hystereo/Robot Teen America

Post by exej »

I never knew of either of these side projects until today when I found this forum... and as luck might have it I snagged the last copy of Mass Hystereo from mindunwind.com... I'd love to hear the Robot Teen America stuff as well... I missed out on Fluzee too it seems... I did manage to get the Up off the floor mp3s from enjoyglu.com a while back though. I just figured the band was gone when that site disappeared.

Thank you very much for bringing this forum to the net!

Wow thanks so much! I downloaded the 4 tracks and burnt them on CD I even made a front cover with the artwork you gave!
I actually like Robot Teen America a hell of a lot better than Mass Hystereo. Not to take away from Mass Hystereo, they (Jeff) are cool but I only listened to it twice, crappy artwork too.
Thanks again man!

I'd like to get a hold of these songs too if I could please.

Please, check out my thread in the GLU board, I'm trying to get more of us to share what we have.

i jsut put an order in, i'll let you guys know how it goes. i recommend you buy 'em while you cna still find them since they seem to be disappearing fast, although you may want to wait and make sure i don't get screwed over first :D. if you have any experience with this store, be it positive, or negative, lemme know. aight, peace,
dEvin
I've bought through this site a couple of times now and I've had nothing but good experiences. You should keep in mind that they are only a middleman that connects you with these little shops.

I don't know why I never thought to try them for MH and RTA, I want to kick myself.

1,2,3,GO music video on MTV

Post by tommy66909 »

Oh yeah I was wondering if anyone knew this.
Mass Hystereo released a music video on MTV for '1,2,3,GO' has anyone seen this? It was directed by Niels Alpert.

If you want to buy it (the cd) for 1 penny go to www.amazon.com
