I have just heard from RUFF NATION 05/03/06

Post by tommy66909 »

We do still intend to release David's record.
There are some legal issues that need to be ironed out, and there
is also the possibility of some additional artists making a
contribution to the record [no details that I can expand on as
of this time, but it could be quite exciting if it comes together].

We can't commit to a specific date right now, so please be patient.
We know that his fans are anxious to hear his work, and we are also
anxious to have this released.

We all miss David, and we know that not putting it out would only
add to the tragedy of his loss. We all feel that David would have
wanted this released, and this is our intent.

Thanks for your interest, and for your continued patience.

Yours,

Jeffrey Coulter

i'm a bit nervous of them now "adding artists". what the #### does that mean? like those god damn frank sinatra duets records? nervous... But at least they are still following through.

adding artists? i think this has to do with the guest vocals thing.

WOW they ACTUALLY pay attentuion to the concerns fo the fans...and they realize their role in the entire story of his life...its nice to see that they dont want the album to end up making a tragic dent into the whoe;l thing....wow. thanks tommy

Hell Yeah, at least we have confirmation! Really, adding people to what Dave's done doesn't scare me. Changing what Dave's done does... lets hope they they keep it pure and respectfully his.

That is awesome news! It sounds like they are really committed to releasing it. Be patient, he says? Not a problem...as long as I know they haven't scrapped it, I have all the patience in the world.
