well, I think MCR can be counted out. they are too big right now. Bowie too. too big for the rest of time. he's almost too big to be on his own albums. my picks?
1. Frank Black (pixies)
2. Christopher Hall (stabbing westward, the dreaming)
3. Nick Cave (nick cave and the bad seeds)
4. Cedric Bixler-Zavala (or however the f*ck that is spelled) (mars volta, at the drive in)
5. Benjamin Gibbard (the postal service, death cab for cutie)
6. Robin Finck (i know he is a guitar player, but i heard him sing on a NIN bootleg i have, and why he doesn't sing more often is beyond me, it's great) (NIN, Guns & Roses)
7. Matt Johnson (the the)
8. Christina Aguilera (seriously, her voice voice is amazing)
9. maynard james keenan (tool, puscifer, a perfect circle)
10. e (the eels)

one could only dream of having most of david's vocals instead of some guests. to repeat I'd take David's scratch vocals over any guest vocalist any day of the week and its a shame that if there is a single promoted off it, that it will be most likely one without david's vocals included
(probably obvious to all)

as Ive noticed from how David worked, all the songs are probably completly finished. He probably did an uberbajillion runs with each song as well, if anything the guest vocals will be taking a few sharp edges off.
I give up easily, cant speak so freely, wont someone release me just this time around.
Rest in Peace David.
