If I got permission from David's family to go ahead and give you guys 1 of David's old bands albums that I have, which album would you guys want to hear?
Remember, these 3 albums were given to me by his family with the stipulation that I would NEVER make a copy or upload them online for public listening, but I might be able to get permission to let 1 slip through the cracks for 24 hours and then take it down.
These are the bands David was in BEFORE god lives underwater (mostly between 1988 - 1989) and I guess I'll see what you guys want the most.
I would have to go to David's family with the request to let one of these "albums" become public for 24 hours (thats all I would let it go up for and then I would tear it down) but if there is a clear winner, I might be able to get the permission to allow it go online for 24 hours. Its up to you guys.
Here is a little more info on the bands that I have tracks by for you to make a more informed decision:

A Sheet Of Metal is like Dead Milkmen with a drum machine. David played and wrote all the instruments and Neil wrote and sang all the lyrics. They recorded it over the course of 1 night in David's bedroom on a 4 track.Aiight Son wrote:I'd have to go with Sheet of Metal... looks the most interesting judging by song titles, and no offense guys, but if KTB sounds like RTA then it's not going to be so great. At least, IMO, RTA was fairly boring musically.
If i can figure out how to post the tape insert here I will cause I have a copy of it scanned.

Kan Do Kill - cross between Joy Division and Souxie And The Banshees. Their tape only has 1 track with Linda singing, "Wintertree". The other 2 tracks are instrumentals. David played all the instruments and Linda sang, very ethereal and dark female vocals. The music is also very "plush" and Joy Division sounding, thats really the best I can do. The 3 songs clock in at 10 minutes.
A Sheet Of Metal - its like punk/hardcore/silly lyrics. Once again David played all the instruments but its heavier and faster and Neil's vocals are very yelling (I dont want to say screamy, but like old school punk). The lyrics are ridiculous (as you can see from the song titles) and all the songs fall somewhere between 45 seconds and 2 minutes in length so all 8 songs only clock in at 13 minutes.
Killing The Barrowbird - its all David. the music doesnt have a drum beat in any of the songs but there still is rhythm created by the programming and the synth lines. There are multiple movie samples treated so they become part of the song. His vocals have A LOT of effects on them and he sometimes goes out of key, lol. Its a lot darker than RTA but its also a little more avante-garde as well. Its much more atmospheric than RTA and sometimes its just swirling sounds within the song. Have you ever heard Nine Inch Nails "Fixed"? The Screaming Slave and Fist F*ck tracks? I dont want to compare them to those but thats at least the attitude of them. The last song on the album "Sunflowers Pt2" is 18 minutes long!!!! All 5 tracks make the album 32 minutes in length!
I hope this helps a little better
