Odd, I just got an e-mail from someone that used to be in a "Journey" cover band with David when they were 17 years old (yes, he really was in bands like this, this will be talked about in the book) and he informed me that the name of the Killing The Barrowbirds "album" is:
Songs About The Lord
he said he had an original copy of it that David gave him right after he recorded it and "He told me a record company exec. told him that he liked it but he sounded too much like Micheal Stipe. " And when I asked him about why there are SOOOO few copies of that album in existence he answered: "His car was broken into and alot of copies were taken. " Can you believe that???
(remember, my copy of the album is a burnt copy without artwork that Gretchen gave me so I only knew the track names, never the title of the album.)
I thought I would share the title name and that little tidbit of David trying to get the project signed and what the label exec. told him... and yes, the Journey cover band, heh.
David wasnt the singer in the cover band, he was the keyboard player ONLY. And this was a highschool band before his first band of original songs (Kan Do Kill).
