Nintendo 72 pin question

Post by Citizen »

I just picked up an old NES, but of course, the flashing screen of death appeared. So I took it apart to check the 72-pin connector as those are usually the culprit.

But the damn thing looks new! Should I go ahead and change out the pin connector anyways - maybe it's just bent and not corroded?

i used to have one along time ago... not quite sure
BUT if you want to head a slightly "different route" i can show you how to play them on a computer, sega dreamcast, or psp
[other consoles have to be hacked/modded] make sure you own[legally], or have owned the games

Yeah - just found out the lady never replaced it, so that'd be the problem, argh!

Thanks Nugget but this NES is going to be a special project. I think I'm going to try to rack-mount it and turn it into a MIDI instrument.

Ha!!

That is classic. I find myself between the divide here, I love me some nintendo, but man there are some great sega games. Gain Ground...Rolling Thunder 2 and 3....

but I've always wanted a top loading NES. -=Jealous=-

I love them all. I have every console (released in America) since the NES came out, with the exception of the Atari Jaguar and the Phillips 3DO. Also I don't bother with the handhelds too much (although I do have a the super-gameboy adapter for my SNES).

SEGA GAMEGEAR!!!

the most underrated handheld of all time.

great games, great graphics, BACKLIT (which didn't happen again until nintendo released the gameboy advance SP), AND you could get a tv tuner for it. awesome. I still play mine. it looks like a psp's older brother.
