Cause I like to come home after hanging out with my friends only to find that I have to hurriedly clean dog wizz out of my midi controller.
Yeah - you read that right. My lovely dog decided to take a wizz on my recently purchased M-Audio MidAir 37. I guess my roomie didn't let him out, so he went on the coolest thing he could find.
With beer on my breath, I quickly removed all the screws and bolts I could find. I gave the chassis a good rinse and dried what I could and set it on the fan. I began unplugging everything, and I mean everything, and giving two circuit boards(thankfully - no real electronics on these, just button contacts) a quick rinse then drying them off with a can of lemon-air electronic dust remover. Water and wizz - GOODBYE! The keys were a pain in the butt, but they are clean as well.
So now, it lies in pieces in front of a fan after a super-cleaning. Thankfully, the main circuit board had not been touched by the foul liquid and required only the slightest of Q-tip washing and drying. I've done all I can - now we wait. I had to rant - I've been quite mad the past 30 mins.
How do YOU like to spend your Saturday nights?
