I don't have a live version but tomorrow I will be posting a live cover acoustic version I played not long ago. I dunno about weird chords though...for the most part it's a riff for the intro and verses, power chords with a low 5th for the chorus and then a riff for the breaks as far as I have tabbed.

now Weaken has some funky chord progressions during the chorus for a glu song in my opinion...to my knowledge though glu always kept it pretty simple with power chords on standard tuning or tuning low E to D

Toirtoise is one of my top 3 fav GLU songs too..again with the riffas on that one though and it doesn't sound too good acoustic but I have a version of it too I play..I am working on a full studio cover of that song too but haven't gotten around to finishing it up

I've found that playing the riff-rockers clean and by yourself necessitates some changes, and I find myself converting riffs to chords (like the cover of "No More Love" that I worked out). The studio or full band setting of course is a different story.
