Any requests?
I'm doing a third "David Reilly Night" in two weeks, and was wondering if anybody who listened to the last two had any particular songs they wanted to hear. So far, I've got a set list that includes songs from LitSCSA, How Humans Rx, a Heavy song, and songs from Empty. Anybody dying to have a favorite song butchered by some dude out in Detroit? >:~)

Hey m'man,
You know what I always thought would sound really great in a live setting with simply an acoustic guitar? "Someone Else", which was a song David created for the Nitrus Compilation.
You're familiar with it, I assume? It sounds like it was made for the type of shows you perform.
Break a leg,

I think that's the Heavy song, "Lost." If I remember correctly, David wrote that one about a commercial airline flight crashing on a mysterious Pacific island. Good tune.
Re: Any requests?
Yes, there is a song from that compilation called "Lost", but check again. There were two tracks made for "Heavy", and the other is called "Someone Else".

See? It's even on the lyrics page. However, if you're not familiar with the tune I'm going to gather it would be a bad choice, heh.
That's cool, I've had a ball listening to your shows and I'm sure anything you pick will be entertaining.
Cheers,
-James

Re: Any requests?
So, because of the Presidential debates, I moved the show back a month to 11/12. So somewhere shortly after then is when tracks will appear. A couple of replies:
Maybe I'll do it as an encore. If I'm asked. We'll see.
You know what? I got mixed up. Both of those songs feature the idea of "somebody else" pretty heavily, so that's what got me confused. Also, I really need to spend some time on that lyrics page. Quite frankly, I'd forgotten it was there, so thanks for the heads-up!JSL wrote:Yes, there is a song from that compilation called "Lost", but check again. Thanks, man. This will be the best one, I think. I've brought in an extra guitar player so that I can just concentrate more on the vocal performance.JSL wrote:That's cool, I've had a ball listening to your shows and I'm sure anything you pick will be entertaining.
I did Positivity as part of last year's show. I'll be perfectly honest: Miss You More Than Anything and Positivity were probably the low-point of that show (it's PAINFUL for me to listen back to). My version of Positivity needs a lot of work.bobnugget wrote:i cant remember what songs you did last time because there not named, but how about Positivity since no one else seems to think its good enough to cover.

Actually, it's tomorrow (or today, since I wrote this pretty late on Tuesday). I'm very optimistic as the rehearsals (one of which is up at my Myspace) have gone pretty nicely. I'll keep you posted, and we'll see how fast I can mix and upload.
