SO should we all totally forget the idea that the tribute CD would ever get released?
I have the feeling that it will never see the light of day
Seriously though someone needs to at least tell us that either "YES" or "NO NEVER SORRY BUT FORGET IT".
Thanks.

Re: So is the tribute CD ever going to be released?
here is the official statetment from the record label (Toxic Shock Records) that is releasing the tribute (I am paraphrasing from an e-mail):
They can only release 1 album at a time due to them being an indie label. Right now, Methodical's debut album is their priority, with the GLU Tribute being in the #2 slot. Methodical's debut album is being released on January 29th. At that time the GLU Tribute will then take the #1 spot on their roster and will be printed.
This is the closest answer I got with an actual "schedule of time" included.

Re: So is the tribute CD ever going to be released?
in all reality, i think i speak for everyone involved, i am sick of waiting. If this fcker isn't done by February, then whoever has the mp3's, put them in the FTP, so at least we can all enjoy it, and when Luke finishes (unless he already has) the artwork, he can put it there too. if this isn't going to get finished, there is no sense in dragging it out. i hate to say it brian, i like you, believe me, but i don't see this adding to the books sales. for one, barely anyone remembers GLU. Those that do, are here. If this isn't going to see the type of distribution that a major record sees, then there is no point in doing this. in all reality, the best thing that could be done is posting an .rar file of the mp3's and the artwork on the pirate bay, with a little message about david, briefly mentioning the book and website. I think that that would get more exposure, and it wouldn't cost us a dickload of money. really let's just stop dicking around and actually do something. i (as well as a few people here) am sick of the excuses.

Re: So is the tribute CD ever going to be released?
Like I have said (it feels like a trillion times now), this is the ONLY part of anything to do with posthumous DR that I have absolutely ZERO involvement with. I am sick of the excuses also, believe me... you arent the one getting e-mails on a weekly basis from the people who have paid for it as part of the book package and wondering where it is. The Tribute has nothing to do with me, so I am at the mercy of Randy and his decisions and his motivation, just like all of you guys.really let's just stop dicking around and actually do something. i (as well as a few people here) am sick of the excuses.
I can only call and e-mail Randy so many times... its up to him to actually finish it and take the initiative. *sigh*
I have even thought about send everyone who bought the Mantis Package some money back for compensation and saying "#### it, it clearly is never coming out" but then Randy will send me an e-mail with some update that sounds promising so I start giving him the benefit of the doubt and decide to hang on a little longer for it to be finished.
the delay sucks hardcore, I'll tell you that.
Re: So is the tribute CD ever going to be released?
all right then, i apologise for directing that to you Brian, i was in a stupor. You should see my reddit history from last night, anyways, lets get this going RANDY. RANDY PM ME or hit me up on AIM. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
