god lives underwater were one of the best bands to grace this planet, period. their music took depeche mode and made it heavy, but yet they were their own thing all alone. no one had their awesome guitar tones, synthlines, production skills, awesome drum editing, etc... they were as original and brilliant as other recognized "greats", such as led zeppelin, black sabbath, nine inch nails, yada yada ... i owe a boatload of insipiration from them.
i found out about david's death 4 days too late. i know it doesn't matter what the mainstream media/public thinks, but david (and jeff) both deserved to be famous for being so unbelievably ahead of their time. they are among the legends for me, like sonic youth, nirvana, the beatles ...
